I have been questioned by the police because my ex business partner has said that I have phoned him up, withholding my number,to ask him to pay the debt he owes me. I refused to sign the harassment order as I never phoned him.All he said to the police was practically word for word what was said in a letter from my solicitor. Apart from which I had no phone on me that day as I had left it at work.I stated quite categorically that I had no intention of talking to him ever again and when the court case for what he owes me is over I have no wish to see him again. Have I got any come back against him or the police for harassment against me? I run a small business 30 miles away and the meeting with the police lost me valuable time on a heavy workload.
I also told the police that I had been threatened,in the town where I used to live, and the person threatened to come down to where I now lived to do me in if I went ahead with the court case to recover part of the monies my ex business partner owes me.A police car with a copper in stood right behind my car has I was being threatened. The police did not take it serious and viewed it as being to opportunistic to have been anything to do with my ex business partner, but I was just leaving the address of one of my clients and my ex business partner will still know that that client still lives there. Should the police take action and take the threat seriously or should I take the law into my own hands if the threat is attempted to be carried out?

even if the police "take the threat seriously" what do you expect them to do? If the threat is carried out, they are in a better position to do something
regarding part 1 - your landline and/or mobile company will have records of all the calls you made on that day in question, so you can prove you didn't make the calls.
I cannot see anything here that constitutes police harasment. Have I missed something?
I remember all your previous threads on this and didn't understand the issues then either

Yes you are right but the police weren't interested in checking it out.My mobile had been stolen, possibly by a work colleague who has now been sacked and because she knew about all other matters concerning me and my ex business partner I think she contact him to cause trouble.

The issue here is my ex business partner will continue to get the police to contact me in an effort to get me arrested on harassment charges to get me back in court in an effort to get me to serve my suspended prison sentence.I was charged with fraud because I tried to get back part of the £43,000 that our limited company owed me and I had to borrow money personally to purchase the clients that business had.I've had solicitor's advice that I can legally sue him for the £10,000 he owes me for the business purchase or take him to small claims for a £5,000 cheque he bounced on me without any comeback of a counter claim. My ex business partner knows he is in the wrong and by using the police and another person to threaten me he thinks I will drop the case. The only reason I am not taking him to court yet is because of severe cash flow problems.

'you have a stinky attitude (given your other posts) so i do actually hope you get screwed over for something, actually. you describe the original problem so vaguely and re-reading it a couple of times gives me the impression you have given a very one-sided view of events. this is not advice of any kind, but i think more of a statement of karma....what goes around truly does come around.'
To Icg76 - I don't know what gives you the right to comment the way you do. Maybe you would be happier if people that have worked very hard in life to have a decent job and a good standing in life are knocked in the gutter so that they have to start begging.

Matter now sorted, just over exuberant debt recovery agents come bailiffs that like to cause trouble and make threats to tempt people into causing an assault. It took many calls to the Law Society office and the National Court team both of which were very courteous and helpful. Next week I start my proceedings against my ex business partner and I am going to bankrupt him and I think, with his state of health, it will cause him a massive heart attack and he will die. Maybe then no more accountants livelihoods will be destroyed, including me he has destroyed three accountants livelihoods.
