Visa needed after old drink/drive ban?
My father who has been to florida on holiday many times would like to book another holiday there. The problem is he had a drink/drive conviction and banned from driving for a year. That was a couple of years ago. He dosn't know if he will now need to apply for a visa and if so what does this involve and how long will it take?

Im not sure how long it takes to get a visa but if you look on http://www.usembassy.org.uk/ it should have all the information you need. on saying that i know people that have convictions and have been to the states on the visa waiver programme and have entered the country with no problems but its up to your father whether he wants to take a chance on that one! Good luck
