How Tolerant Are You?

I'm not....at all.

I'd like to be, I try so hard to be but however hard someones life is I always know someone going through far worse.

It pains me I can't be less judgemental, truly. I've just hurt a friend tonight cos I said it as it was....she has a nuisance neighbour who has put 17 bird feeders up on her tree so the birds will poo on her car, which she can move anyway.Her 'FB friends' are threatening to shoot her and 'do her in' (the neighbour) they feed off each other...try to outdo the threats so I posted quite bluntly to remind them that FB wasn't the place to make death threats and anyway we all have stuff to deal with which we don't always share on a daily basis with FB....i've been unfriended, it was that simple :)

Does it pay to be that honest......

doesn't sound as if you were very judgmental. Every one else was, you just suggested laying off the death threats. I do this on AB every day and I'm not judgmental at all...

Crikey jno....not that i was looking for agreement...seriously did wonder if people felt they could tame themselves,I so appreciate a balanced view.

Which is what I gave tonight. I'm aware i'm blunt at times, I try not to hurt, I just can't sugarcoat. I showed the abuse I got to my OH and he lives with me and knows me yet he was astounded and he knows me....it was awful !

You cant posts death threats on FB surely? I clearly didn't post what she wanted to see...truth hurts sometimes...

coketulip....problem was I wasn't sucking up,she's narcissic....no matter, couldn't sleep cos despite it all it bothers me, for some reason.

Havent deserted you....off now but i'd be happy to hear how tolerant YOU are, I just gave an example cos I feel sorry for me for being misunderstood :)

If you were advising people not to post death threats to each other, i can only agree with you. That isn't intolerance- some things you let go and some things are important.

If I'd seen death threats posted on FB, I'd report them to the police, not faff about posting responses......

It's not your business. Your friend's tussle with her neighbour doesn't involve you (or didn't) - don't get drawn into such a nasty web of in-fighting.

I always considered my self tolerant, in fact I would bend over backwards at times for certain circumstances. Then I had dealings with the NHS. I'm still fighting my corner though.

I find the older I get, the less tolerance I have.
I don't think you've done anything wrong, it's just another case of - you can have an opinion as long as it's the same as 'my' opinion.

anne...sadly yes..and very successful business people as well so it's not a FB Jeremy Kyle type thing...think they thought they were perhaps exempt...it was truly awful.
