Can i refuse a volutery interview

Regardless of what you can or cannot do when invited for voluntary interview, if you called the police because you wanted them to take action against someone else, surely it makes sense to co operate with them?

Sorry my grammer is terrible first thing in the morning. I have basicly called the police on somebody regarding a situation the police came to there house and asked them questions regarding this. in retaliation they reported me on something that suposedly happend a week prior but didnt call the police at the time i commited this so called offence against them. Surely the police will realise that there just trying to get there own back and telling lies just because i had the police sent to them ?
That seems to make alot of sense to me i think what im trying to say is i think its a damn cheek i orginaly called the police regarding an incodent now because they didnt like the police going to there how asking questions they have now made up some rubbish about me and now ive been asked to attend a voluntary interview to which i thnk is totally wrong
Just an update on this so called voluntary police interview . I phoned the police and said i was willing to have a interview but i wanted it at my house. They said thats not possible it has to be done at a police station. I refused so the policeman said they would come to my house and take me to the police station to which i replied ok . He then informed he was going on holiday and wouldnt be back on duty for a fornight. Dear me what next.
