i had appointed a lawyer as i am charged with domestic assault only but in my ex girlfriend statement i read that she say i raped her and all. But police charged with domestic assault (common assault). she also hit me with hairdryer and i got six stitches on head after she drank whole bottle of wine. she accused me of many things but i never even reported her she reported me with everything after she got caught by immigration after 1 year 3 months of break up with me as she overstayed her visa as well now she even accused me of hiding her passport. I am just worried and in depression for last 2 year thinking its all my fault when our relationship down. last i am only charged with domestic assault after break up. Please advice me what should i do?

what can be admissible in court ? Anything that can assist the judge ( and jury) come to a fair decision. English courts dont have the involved system that you see in AMerican judge programmes

thanks Peter Pedant my ex girlfriend accused me of many thing but police only charged me with domestic assault ( common assault) what that it means? is it they don't have enough evidence against me ? and in interview i admit that i grab my gf by arms. so they charged me for common assault.
