69 Answers
A sister was cleaning her drawers and came across a beatiful letter and £150 inside the letter POSTED TO ABOUT 2006. fROM A GUY WHO WAS SO POOR AND POORLESS HIMSELF - AND =
The guy has died and now sister would like to do some worthy with it.
We have debated on it. What should she do - it wa s £100. I suggested giving to the homeless freezing and starting on the ground but she has her own opinion.
Any of your opinions would be welcomed. She is afraid that the money/gifts don't go TO their destinations. We are into HOMELESSHELP. i AM ONE FOR GIVING A FEW POUNDS TO THE GUYS LYING ON THE GROUND FREEZING, HUNGRY ETC ETC- OK IF HE NEEDS DRUGS - i FEEL ONCE YOU HAVE PARTED TO THE OTHER PARTIES - it is money to do what he wants to do.

It has been in the drawer since 2006- or was it posted to 2006 people.
I assume it's cash especially as acheque dated 006 could be difficult to bank.
I am not sure there would be any point in giving a large sum to a homeless person unless you make sure it's used to say buy a bed for a few nights in a hostel. I think £100 to one homeless person would probably just be frittered away or lost/get stolen and wouldn't help tackle the issues. Only outreach worker/homeless charities can make a difference.
I'd give it to homeless charities and accept that yes some goes on admin and salaries but at least they are professionals in dealing with the issues
