For english i have to change a traditional story like a fariy tale to a more modern version by changing it slightly. kind of want to change the three bears or beauty and the beast. any ideas??? please

If you can get hold of them try reading a few stories by Laurence Anholt
they're only a few pages long but should give you some ideas... titles include...
Snow white and the seven aliens,
Eco-wolf and the three pigs,
The empeor's new underwear,
The fried piper of hamstring and
Little bo peep has knickers that bleep!

Try looking for Feminist Fairy Tales by Barbara Walker. She rewrites the traditional stories with a twist... e.g. Ugly and the Beast; Jill and the Bean Root etc

An author called Angela Carter has re-written fairytales! They are really quite interesting to read!

If you can track any episodes down, there was a 1980's TV show that brought elements of B&B to modern-day New York.

Since it is 200 years since he was born this year, I will suggest H.C Andersen's The Little Match Girl. Here is a wikipedia link for a synopsis. You can turn it into a story about a drug addict or similiar (when she light up a match, she takes heroin etc.). Just an idea in case you would like something not funny.

How about letting the beast go on one of those reality show where they give people a complete make over, with plastic surgery, stylists and all that, so he can win the girl over?
