Good on the Otter, he wasn't going to leave the fish after the silly humans left them out for him.

Sorry jno, my bad, I should indeed have sought a better report :-)
Goes a long way to explaining the price of a drink I suppose.

They need to have a meeting with their sensory guru re the real world.
We were really upset when a heron stole all our fish. We would have preferred it to be an otter.
When we moved into our present home we inherited a fish pond. It was really large and had quite a few koi carp.
One day we had a knock on the door. A man told us someone was coming to the pond at about 6 am. And taking some fish. We had already decided this large pond was too much for us, what with sorting all the weeds out of the pond. So we decided to sell the koi. When they had all gone we drained the pond only to find lots of tiny fish scrabbling about in the dregs of remaining water. We managed to get them all in a bucket and took them to a local river.
We eventually got rid of the pond and had a large patio instead.
not your bad, Canary, really awful reporting by the Independent. To think I subscribed to that when it first began publishing, a proper intelligent paper. Now look at it...
