need advice why does usa embassy scan your passport when refused visa

went to embassy refused holiday visa as i have two miner motoring ofences the reason they refused me was i dont have a job as i am on permanent sick due to road accident the point i am getting at is the embassy in london printed and scanned in big red letters on back page of my passport can someone please tell me if the americian authorities at usa airports know the usa embassy has refused me a visa because they scanned and printed my passport
