Is it possible to obtain info from a statement after a Court hearing?

My partner was a victim of Racially Aggravated Harassment. I was a witness to this as it happend where we lived. Our neighbour stated that he wasn't there & therefore didn't hear or see anything. Later we had found out that our neighbour DID actually make a statement to the police of the incident, we found it very suspicious as he told us he wasn't there. The case went to court and myself and my partner had to give evidence. In the end the offender was found guilty & got a 12 months Conditional Discharge. Our neighbours statement must have been addressed in court which we really want to know what he said. Does anyone know if we can? Thanks to all in advance.

No my neighbour didn't give evidence as far as I'm aware but apparently her statement could have been read in court.

You won't be able to see the statement, if indeed there was one. The statement may not necessarily have been 'read out' in court, if agreed by both sides. Did the defendant plead guilty or was there a trial? If there was a trial, if there was a trial, the information given must have been agreed by both sides, otherwise they would have been called to give evidence in court.

You say that the neighbour is suspicious, but if the case has already been dealt with why are looking to see the statement?

I only wanted to know what he had said in his statement as he said he wasn't there when the (racial harassment) incident happend. We feel that our neighbour said one thing to us and another thing to the police! Knowing that the offender got a 12 month conditional discharge, our neighbour still interacts with them and are very paly paly!!!! Who can you really trust these days?!
