List of police officers - how can I trace?
5 Answers
How can I find out if someone is a police man? I have an ongoing dispute with someone who I believe is a police officer. I looked him up on 'friends reunited' and if it's the same person he states that he is about to join the police force - it doesn't state which one though. Anyone know who I can ring/write to to ask? This person has committed theft and deception. Thanks

Hi, you personally wouldn't be able to find it out but as you stated he has committed criminal offences then this should be reported to police asap. As he might not have a criminal record already so the police that are or have employed him won't know! the police will carry out they relevant checks on the male if you go to the station and report him.
hope this helps.

foxyroxy,
If you don't want to be involved in the investigation by reporting him directly to the police, you could ring crimestoppers who will take the details from you and you could remain anonymous.
A word of warning - If you have had a dispute with this person and this is an act of revenge then it could backfire on you.
Otherwise you do have a public duty to report this person as he will have access to senstive information if you stay quiet.
Deception or Fraud as it is now redefined is a wide field with varied and quite serious penalties.
The need for integrity and honestly in the emergency services is of the greatest importance.
