IF someone is under witness protection like the prosthetic artist and the vault manager in the recent heist case, does the witness protection last their lifetime? - and what about their family .friends are they offered witness protection?- after all criminals could threaten them to reveal whereabouts especially of prosthetic artist who has a �7million "reward" on her head

It seems that people can still find out where you are, one person on witness protecion was shot in the stomach...

Family and friends very often have no idea where the witness is and have no contact at all, or only by letter through the police.

It can last a lifetime - a new life has to be made with a totally new id, in a new location. They can't take family with them and have to lie continually to new friends.

Can't be easy
