i am in court in a few days to appeal to get my licence back early
i was convicted of drink driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and not reporting an accident 2 and a half years ago, please i know that i was in the wrong and i thank god that i didnt injure myself or anybody else for my stupid actions. however i applied to get it back early a few months ago and stated my reasons to the court who did not grant me my licence back as i did not require it for my job. Now i have been offered a job as an electrician and the boss will need me to have my licence, i have applied to the court and have got a date. what are the chances of me getting my licence back (5 months early) and is there anything i should say???

You can apply to get your licence back after 2 yrs so you fit that criteria.
All you can do is provide written evidence from your new employer that driving is a requirement for the job, coupled with an apology for the offence and assurances that it will not be repeated.

I thought this was AnswerBank, not PublicJudgementBank redheadisbac.
To echo the previous poster, a plea to the magistrates on the day in the form of a letter should help. A character reference from someone (usually someone in a position of public responsibility), stating how you have redeemed yourself would help as well.
Just make sure your solicitor gets it well in advance of the court date so the magistrates and CPS can see it.
