affray charge

what will i get for affray if i hit some one with a bottle after they headbutted me - we were both drunk and did not know each other, court was adjourned last wednesday but they said they will keep it in the magistrates?? is it still likely to be custodial or a fine? they have asked for my bank detials

Sentencing guidelines for magistrates suggest a starting point (for a first time offender pleading not guilty) of custody. Maximum if it has been retained by magistrates is six months.

If its your first offence you should be OK, but it shouldn't make any difference these days as the jails are full.

well i was done for pocession with intent to supply in 2005 when i was 17 but did community service and fine, but i aint been arrested for fighting before, not a fighting type just got out of hand that night and sadly wat happened did. wish i cud take it back but thats life. do they sentance much in magistrates for custodial or normall community and fine?
