Getting licence back after ban
I was baned for 3 years for a 2nd offence of dd. I also got community service. I am confused about how I get my licence back. I think I might have to have a medical? How do I arrange this? Thanks

You will have to take an extended retest most likely also.
Go and find those L plates.
You will need to take some driving lessons to get upto scratch.
As well as the extended test, you will have to also take the theory. This consists of a multiple choice type exam and a hazard perception test. The hazard test is not easy.
I tried it recently ...just for fun ...and its damn hard !

You'll only face the extended driving test if court that disqualified you ordered then that you be disqualified until you such a test. The bad news can be the medical test and the related questions. The medical test will discover whether or not the person is abusing alcohol now or has been doing so in recent times. The symptoms of that are in chemical changes in the liver and these changes take quite a while to go. The worse the case, the longer they take.
The questions are quite subtle and carefully devised to spot a drinker who is lying (the correct answers aren't always what he would think them to be)
