Myself and my neighbours are about to object to a multiple occupancy licence for one of the flats in our block. The company who has bought the flat and put in the application was in the local press for renting out dirty and dangerous housing. My question is this..in our objection letter, can we mention this bad reputation and also mention that the council has previously taken this company to court? I wasn't sure if such letters had to avoid being personal.

Hi

I believe that you can mention that this company has got a bad record.... because it is fact. I'm not an expert on these things...... if there are any negative comments about this company on the internet, why not list the link(s) in our letter.

Hope you're objection is successful.

Thanks Brendan. I'll do a bit of sleuthing so I gets my facts straight before writing the objection. All the neighbours are objecting too so I dearly hope that they don't get the go ahead.
