if there is no evidence what so ever of course it will be dropped. Shouldn't have got this far if there is no evidence. Same as any crime.
In fact they shouldn't have even been an arrest.
But for somebody to have GBH injuries there has to be evidence, at least from a doctor.

As abdul has said, if there is no evidence there is every chance the charge will be dropped. However, it is extremely unlikely that a serious charge such as this would be brought if there was "no evidence what so ever".
If your partner has been "set up" (by which I assume you mean that evidence has been falsified) he/she should consult a solicitor forthwith.
