GBH against a violent ex!
Me and my partner and friends were out on the weekend and saw an ex that subjected me to horrible abuse. This ex came and stood 2m away and stared and pointed at me for quite some time. Standing at the bottom of the staircase an argument broke out where he told my partner he'd better "watch out for her, you just watch her" my partner said "why? are you going to hit her?" i put my arm out cos i thought he would hurt one of us (this is on cctv).
in the toilet he has told my partner the lies he told to escape charge and caution for his violence to me, shouting at my partner. when i found out i was so mad i went in and told him to stop lying, he came forward and laughed in my face. my friend pulled me back but i clipped him on the neck with my small clutch bag twice. my partner then came back in and my ex said "you'd better watch yourselves" and stepped forward like he was going to hit one of us. my partner punched him twice.
he got arrested and is on bail for abh but i got arrested yesterday for the same!!
my ex says his jaw was broken but he was stood outside talking and looked fine, he didn't go to the hospital till the police told him to the next day which is a bit weird!
now we have been told that if his medical records prove his jaw is broken we will both be charged with gbh!
we have never been in trouble before. what will happen?

you have not been charged yet, so dont be getting to over excited yet. Have you asked for the cctv to be seized and saved, i would be asking your solicitor (if you had one at the police station) to be asking for the CCTV footaged to be secured at once. If you havent got a solicitor get one soon so that they can attend at the next polic station appointment with you(i assume you are on bail).
You also need to try and get some witnesses lined up to back you up with the story of intimidation.
From what you have said in your notice though you do need to get legal advice
