Working with a conviction?

I have recently been convicted of assault section 39 by beating (battery). Up until this I have been working as a supply teacher with an agency. I understand that this must be declared. Can anyone give me more info surrounding this and is this another offence if I do not declare. How much rights do I have or is it dependent on the agency and other factors?

Thanks in anticipation

it is a criminal offence to not disclose this infimation to your employers, which will then add to your record.there is no info, you have no rights in this matter, the simple fact is you must tell them.
if you dont tell them then next time they do a crb check they will know anyway
and you shouldn't accept any work from them till you have told them, and unfortunately you will not be able to work as a teacher any more
