Can i get charged for ABH
Me and my parntner were arrested. He called the police as i broke his fishing kit. I had a nose bleed as i ran out room into a walldrobe. I told police in interview he hit me several times but didnt make a statement. (he didnt really hit me i was annoyed) I had hit him with his fishing kit which caused marks to his arms so he told this in interview but also didnt make a statement. We were both bailed as there seeing if neighbours seen or heard anything! They would not of seen anything but may of heard shouting etc. My boyfriend phoned police for criminal damage, i was seen outside smashing his fishing kit up etc. There is alot of history of domestic violence he has been to prison before, do u know what will hapeen will they drop it as we have not made statements? Can i tell them what really happened that night that he didnt hit me, i have not made a statement and im not wanting too and wont attend court? He will obviously plead not guilty what will happen?

the police dont need your statements to charge you two, although it is hard to do so. they can force your attendance to a court.
the fact that you made no statement about being hit probs absolve you of a crimnal offence.
criminal damage they would press without consent really.
what might get you is that there is a history of domestic violence and a criminal record. that might be incentive for them to carry the action through.
i wouldnt go round lying to the police again.
if you are being abused, you need to find help.
