ABH - Common Assault

I was out clubbing, and when the club finished, me and my friend walked across the road to get something to eat from the burger van, just then, from between two cars, a guy came over and viciously lashed out and punched me square on the nose and has broken it. We managed to get some details of the taxi he made his escape in, and a brief description of him, but I just wondered what might come off it. I made a police statement, and have passed all information on.. The club I was in was gay friendly, and he was outside calling people vicious names regarding sexual orientation, and this is why I think he struck out at me. Thanks for your time!

probably nothing will come of it. If the person wasn't arrested at the scene and can't be traced then there will be no-one to prosecute.
