I have recently been done for Assault (battery) and am on CS and probation, i have quite a long record from the past, i have a 200 fine which i haven't paid, i am due in court next week and wondering what the outcome may be and if my probation and past record will effect my punishment, as i was let off lightly last time and should have really had a custodial sentence, the judge also warned me that next time it will be a custodial sentence did she say that to scare me? help me please thank you

No idea, but a custodial sentence wouldnt surprise me, especially if you have a "long record" and didnt pay your last fine.

how long may this custodial sentence be for?
Forever! lol
I am assuming you are in the fines court? In that case, do as much as you can to pay off as much as you can before the court day. Go with all your financial information, but expect a custodial sentence. The courts are clamping down heavily on non payers.

IF you can give a good reason why you have not paid (ie loss of job, illness, etc) you may be given time to pay.

i cant pay any off,
i will expect a custodial sentence
thanks
n i dont reckon it will be forever lol
Are you on a suspended committal?

The magistrates would normally firstly impose a suspended committal order which would then be activated if you didn't pay. They have to be satisfied that there is wilful or culpable neglect before doing so. They should also give you the opportunity to see the duty solicitor before imposing it.

If you are employed or on job seekers allowance you could also volunteer to have an attachment to earings/benefits order. This way the court can be sure that the money will be paid.
