Ku Klux Klan on TV

I've just been watching some old Jerry Springer clips on YouTube (yes it is a seriously slow day today!) - specifically the Klan guests.

Apart from the arrant nonsense that comes out of their mouths, can these people really expect to be taken seriously dressing like that?

Of course, Andy, we Brits would never dream of taking anyone seriously who dresses up in daft clothes, would we?

I take your point Buenchico, but i could still respect a judge who has reached the top of his profession by his own intelligence, and experience, and who wears the traditional robes of office -

but that is still a far cry from wearing a tall pointy hat and a night-dress!

Andy to the clan the tall pointy hat and nightdress are there traditional robes . plain simple white cloth.
The judge to me looks more like a clown , each to there own.

Actually crazydiamond, if you look at the higher echelons of Klan command, they have all the colours of the rainbow!

When I see a judge I think 'traddition'. when I see a Klansman, I think 'fear, violence, racist hatred' ... as you say, each to their own.
