In Britain if you are applying for a job with a spent less serious criminal conviction that occured overseas
by a foreign national

Is the foreign conviction also covered by the British Act
when applying for a job in Britain to give the spent exemption so as not to harm your job application chances?

Unless you're applying to work with children or with police or national security then a spent conviction is exactly that.
