Caution for Cannabis 8 years ago. Will CRB Check show up?
I was arrested and cautioned in 2000 for cannabis possession. I was finger printed, picture taken the whole works. Now I have an agency job working for the fire brigade. They want to take me on full time, but I will have to undergo a CRB check. As this is a government job it may be quite thorough. Will it show up? I'm thinking of telling my employer just to ease my mind.

mf1982 - given the role you are about to take on it seems likely that your application form should advise you of whether or not the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will apply.
If there is no application form (being that you're temporarily in the role) and they've just told you that they will carry out a check then voluntary disclosure is not required.
If they're asking you to disclose any convictions then it would be unwise to try to hide the details, even though it's a "spent" conviction, as it will show up on the CRB form.
