can I claim back our holiday?

My son went to magestraits court today as someone he was trying to help in the street claimed my son assaulted and robbed him. As it turns out the 4 guys that done this had run off as my son approached and because the hurt man was drunk he thought it was my son that had attacked him.
Anyway he went to court and it had to be adjourned because his solicitor didn't realise there was ctv footage, which should get my son in the clear. We cancelled our holiday to Spain so as we could support our son today and now the date has been changed to 16 Sept. Nothing has been resolved and we have lost our annual holiday . Our holiday insurance won't cover this. Can we claim from anywhere?

No you can't claim it back.....although it's nice to support your son there was actually nothing to stop you going on holiday.

yes zacmaster it is. Your right our luck is --it at the moment , my dad died 2 weeks ago too , I think Ill just chuck myself off the nearest bridge.
