i recently went out on lads day out around the town, i had way to much to drink and was kicked out of a local pub, while argueing my case as to why i was chucked out i was hit by a bloke. being under the influence of to much drink i reacted very badly and threw him to the floor, i punched him a few times and to my dissopointment put a kick in aswell. i found out that i broke his tibia and fractured his eye socket, on the cctv i have been shown i do not touch his leg atall and have also been told that his leg was under rehabilitation. i'v been given a gbh charge and i am planning to go guilty all the way, i will except the concequences for my actions but would just like to know what people think will happen to me. this is my first offence of this nature and i am genrally a good lad

Hi Jg
I can empathise what your going through.I am due in magistrates tomorrow for my ABH charge to be commited to County court. I hit a bouncer in defense of my brother - problem being I had a glass in my hand and he received to cuts on top of his head. I must say I have been very fortunate looking at your case that I only had a charge of ABH.Prison is still a possiblity for me 50-50 I have been told! I guess the extent of the injuries is the difference. Good luck and let me know how things go.I think we both hold our hands up and I like you will take whats coming as I deserve it. .

well i would like to set the record straight for these un informed users on this forum jg18!! you were on a lads night out, and was causing hassle in all the pubs you went into that night, the one you were thrown out of was for causing a fight in. the man you hit is 63!!! you were charged with intent because you hit him, then walked away, then went back and stamped on his head and leg!!! INTENTIONALLY CAUSING GREVIOUS BODILY HARM!!! its a good the man dropped the charge to GBH to get it over and done with. and i feel you are very lucky only to be given 12 months. oh, by the way, the compensation charge will hit you when you are out in a year!! HAPPY XMAS!!!!
