What gets into them is alcohol. I don't understand why the pub wasn't using plastic glasses though. The pubs round here have to use plastic glasses when there is a big football match on just to be on the safe side.
There'll be someone on here later, in the Law Section, explaining how he got into a fight on Saturday and hit a bloke "not realising that I had a glass in my hand"...........and asking what sort of penalty he is looking at.
its not new salla its being going on for years. p1ssed up idiots and its the nearest handy weapon. the glasses now are supposed to shatter so they can;t be used but they can. One of the things i always dreaded if a fight broke out.
i saw some one shove a glass straight into a barmans face they very nearly lost thier eye
A mate of mine got glassed some years ago, & it put a 3" scar right across his cheek. We didn't bother with the police, the glasser didn't know he was a member of a rugby team...he got the sh1t kicked out of him several times. BTW, he didn't do it again, & he had to leave town...there's only so many beatings a man can take!
Its disgusting! My friends dad got glassed, and why...because he was talking to his pretty neice and someone thought he was trying his luck on a younger woman, glassed him right in the head and he is in his 50's....makes you wonder whats wrong with the world...I hope your cousin is alright x
Well I wasnt doing the glassing obviously... the girl he was dating at the time smashed a glass over the back of his head in a fit of anger in the pub.. they split up shortly after.. and we got together!
She lost out big time - cos he's wonderful!
On a serious note.. this is an awful assault on someone.. and is makes me sick to think of the hideous injuries you could inflict on someone. Apparently this is absolutely rife in Australia too! Perhaps ALL pubs should be using plastic glasses during the footie... some people just cant take their drink!
