I have given the detail. It was an Unprovoked attack by being hit in the face with a glass causing severe facial scarring. The offender pleaded guilty after the case went to crown court. I believe it was a first offence.

unprovoked attack, serious injury to the face and the use of a weapon - the sentencing guidelines indicate range of 2 - 4 years custody.
I recently got 100hrs community service for similar thing. However the judge commented on "obviously some provocation" and believed it to be "non-premeditated". I had a glass in my hand and hit the person in a punching motion (shown on CCTV). I think the premeditation isthe key here from my experience! I also pleaded guilty at crown court and my charge was Section 47 ABH because of mainly the small cuts he received on top of his head! It was also my first offence!
