Criminal Damage & Common Assault
Hi, I am wondering what would be the likely outcome of a magistrates court sentenceof somebody who has driven to someone's house, kicked the front door, assualted an adult in the living in front of his son, then struck the 13 year old son when the son tried to defend his dad & then left. He was arrested, charged with criminal damage & 2 counts of common assault.
Door damaged, bruising & grazing on adults head & body, slight bruising on 13 year olds chest.
The attacker was the 13 year old's mothers boyfriend, he has no previous convictions & works full-time.

I did send a text message to his mother stating "Get of you fat lazy elbow & drop his t-shirt & phone off." which must be the reason why he has decided to do what he did. Police did express their disgust at what had happened & said I would have been in my rights to defend myself, & hit him with whatever was to hand as long as it was "reasonable force".
