Hi to one and all. Four weeks ago my partner was beaten up.

His son of 23 went loopy after being told to behave in a pub, the son was trying to impress some blokes girlfriend.They went home and the son just turned. my partner was frightened for his safety so ran out into the street for help. the police were called after my partner ran to a local unmand police station so knocked on a house to raise the alarm.the son caught up with his father and started hitting him and biting, almost bit his fathers ear off. The police arrested them both and took my partner to hospital then back to the station. The son told the police he thought he had killed his father.Soco paid a visit to my partners flat and removed my partners mob phone, they didn't tell him they'd taken it. My partner got arrested for Affray but hasn't been charged yet but has to visit the police station later this month. The son was charged and has to attend for sentencing the day b4 his dad.My partner didnt want his son to end up with a criminal record grrr. Any ideas folfs what the sentence will be for the son please ?????

Basically, ABH is an offence of physical assault, Affray is a public order offence (although can be committed in private).

optics2b. im sure both were committed hehe. just hope the son gets and takes his punishment. The same thing happened 4yrs ago with my partner getting a smashed jaw but wouldn't press charges . This time the police have charged him them selves

what was the son charged with, and found guilty of? That will affect the sentence

hey im non to sure what the son is charged with only he has to appear for sentencing however my partners worried sick he will go to prison because he put in his statement hed also hit his son. He refused a solicitor at the police station, he now admits he hit his son in self defense. my question folks is on my partners charge sheet it states he was arrested for affray but not charged but has to go to the police station the day after his sons appearance for sentencing , what do you think will happen to my partner ???
