Gaddafi back in charge
It looks likely that Gaddafi will re-assert his authority in Libya. He did not start the uprising and is only defending his position.
Whats more important is how Libya will react once the situation has returned. We have many commercial interests in Libya including BP.
Can we expect to do business there once again?
The failure to do so will allow countries such as Russia and China to get a foothold. Is that what we want?

Watching the news now..Don't believe the hype.
Gadaffi has ruled for years but is demonised by the west, just like Castro.
He must be doing something right otherwise he would have been shot years ago.
Even the USA shoot Presidents they don't like.
Iraq has been a nightmare since Saddam Hussein was removed.
Afghanistan will never be peaceful so long as we keep interfering...
Leave them alone and let the people sort it out,if it needs sorting.
It's all a playground for journalists after an award.

Quite agree with that also! There are still hawks in the US establishment, it can be catching when you listen to our warmongers in the cabinet including Gove,etc..
Maybe the best solution put forward so far is for Chavez of Venezeula to get involved as a peace maker. He may be listened to.
