What is the likely outcome for me ?
Hey on a night out in town this boy apparently hit/slapped this girl on the dance floor, later outside our friend spots the boy and 5 of us questioned him and he denied attacking her, we were pretty drunk and started attacking him, his friends defend him claiming it wasnt him, but we still attack him, we then get stopped by the police and got done for ABH
I only hit and kicked him once, and now it turns out he wasnt the boy who we were after.
I now got to go to the police station for interview, what is the likely outcome for me?

After all of that lot above, perhaps you'd like a serious answer?
Sentencing guidelines for ABH are on page 17 of this document:
http://www.sentencing...person_accessible.pdf
The sentences quoted there are for first-time offenders, who are convicted after a trial. Previous convictions can push sentencing higher. An early guilty plea can see a reduction in the sentence. (In the case of a custodial sentence that's normally by one third).
As you'll see from that table, your sentence would depend upon whether the court regarded your action as 'pre-meditated'. You should also note that 'operating as part of a gang' can be seen as an aggravating factor, pushing sentencing higher.

Well I think a gang plotting to beat someone up is premeditated and that would seem to indicate a custodial sentence looking at Chris's link. Anything less than custodial in my opinion would be wrong for this incident!
That is my sensible answer without getting emotional about it.
But who am I to say.
