Rule number 243 of the highway code says:
Do Not stop or park.......
"where the kerb has been lowered to help wheelchair users and powered mobility vehicles"
One would assume this means a car too? It is a powered mobility vehicle after all
Maybe your local PSCO could have a word with your very selfish neighbour
I think you're saying that people are not parking AT your dropped kerb, but on the other side of the road? Ask your council if you can pay to have a white line painted on the other side of the road, to stop people parking there at all
i dont think they are selfish at all...disabled or not people cannot just claim bits of the road to suit themselves...people are perfectly entitled to park their cars opposite ....people probably have no idea there is any sort of problem.
all wonker can do is appeal to people to be considerate
of course they are being selfish. Any unselfish person would not park in front or opposite of a dropped kerb in front of a driveway because of the difficulties in getting out of that driveway. Unless of course the road is wide enough for there not to be an issue
