The mystery of the lack of manchester Bombs
Apparently, the US have reveaaled that the so called Bin Laden files confirm that he masterminded a terror plot to bomb Manchester during Easter 2009.

At the time, the suspected plotters had to be arrested early because of a blunder by the Assistant Commissioner, Bob Quick, who flashed documents to photographers at Downing Street.
None of those arrested were charged with a terrorist offence, no evidence that could be brought before a Court was found, and crucially, no detonators or explosives were seized. Yet we are told the deadly plot was only days away from activation.
How so?
Where did the bombs go?
Did they fail to find them?
Are they still out there?
Did they ever exist?
Any theories?

This is the problem with the way the media reports these stories - the big splash (which sells papers and gets people tuning into News At Ten) is "Terror suspects detained by police".
This is what people will remember...unfortunately, what is less well-reported is "Terror suspects released...basically, we could find stuff all evidence to charge them".
The smoke trail that remains in people's minds is "Muslim" and "terrorist".
There is an undeniable threat to our security posed by terrorists - but I will not be whipped into a frothing frenzy by the press.
Perhaps newspapers should stop tapping the phones of minor celebs and Big Brother contestants, and use their journalistic skills to target the terrorists cells they constantly holler about.
