ok its gone 10pm and my kindly neighbours dogs are howling etc and i can't go to bed because it's louder through the walls in my bedroom. apparently they have already been reported for their dogs barking outside now they have put them in a cage under their stairs and as our houses are semi detached the stairs are like a echo chamber.they asked this morning if we could hear their dogs before i could answer my other half said no she didn't hear them alot. then she told me i had to give them a chance as the wife was trying to presuade her husband to rehome their 3rd dog because they had to keep him seperate from their other two dogs thats why they are now keeping them under the stairs. but i've only just come out of a mental health crisis house and i'm losing it fast about these dogs. do i give them a blast of led zep just to hint that u can hear through the walls????

I would have a word with them net, explain that although your OH said that you didn't hear them 'a lot', in fact they are causing a problem for you, maybe they can house them somewhere other than under the stairs!.............sounds a bit cruel to me really!..............poor dogs, no wonder they are howling and barking!..........if things don't improve contact the RSPCA, see what they think of the situation!.......above all, don't get stressed about it, sort it out!..............Good luck with it!..........
You have my sympathy, it would drive me up the wall, through the wall and out the other side. Why do people keep dogs, only to have them shut up in a cage under the stairs? Can't be fun for them or the dogs.

Bang on the wall now or pop round and tell them you can hear them after all , then hit the Led Zep; but do it in that order otherwise they will just think you're the noisy one. Hope it stops soon.
Print this out & poke it thru neighbors letter box

I sympathise with your problem - I have mental health problems and my mental health can go downhill fast if my sleep is disrupted.

They need to get to the root cause of the problem - the third dog may not be a factor in all this. Have the dogs just started acting like this or has it been an ongoing problem?

I hope that you get this sorted out quickly.
Mmmm that wasn't very helpful of your wife....Don't do the led zep blast, it won't help and you will then be as bad as them. Go round and say your wife didn't like to say but yes the dog noise is a problem and may actually be more of a problem for you than for them due to the house construction. Noisy dogs at night or any other time are a real menace, they set other dogs off as well.
We have a Noise Patrol here, run by the local council. Have a word with yours and see what they say. To treat animals like that sounds cruel to me. Why the heck did they get them in the first place?
