I need to make a Will ASAP as I don't want my 2nd Wife (separated for 5 years not divorced no kids) to inherit anything.

I have 4 adult children from my first wife and are still close friends.

Dont really want to be conned by solicitors for printing out a few papers, so has anybody done this on-line and can recommend a company? Thanks A/Bs.

It would be more straight forward if you were divorced.
Sorry I can't recommend an online company as I haven't use done, but I would encourage you to think about finalising your marriage after 5 years of seperation, otherwise your 2nd wife could contest the will.
Sounds to me as if you really should use a solicitor because of your situation and the need to get it right. A few pounds spent now could avoid a lot of trouble later for your relatives.
lots of solicitors will do this for less than £100, and it will be legal and binding!..............make an appiontment to see one who specialises in such matters!.....................by far the best way to go!.................
I don't want to appear nosy trt but why haven't you gone for a Divorce after 5 yrs, as maidup said, you really do need to finalize things and I would say, legally with a Solicitor
By all means make a will online, but I would encourage you to sort out your marital issues. As you are still married to your second wife, she could make a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and although you are separated she would qualify for the higher spousal standard of provision (if she was in fact successful). Much better to clean break divorce and then any claim under the said act is less likely to be successful.
I hope you get things sorted trt, but is it money stopping you filing for divorce ? if you dont want to spend money on a solicitor for a will you probably dont want to spend out on a divorce.
Make sure your kids know you are leaving them in the will or no 2 will claim all and they wont realise, hasnt she offered to divorce you ?
I think one of the catches are that you must mention your second wife in the will, leaving her a small amount so that she can't claim that you forgot her (this happened to my fil)

Best to get it sorted properly and legally or she could walk off with the lot!
Neti, it would make no difference to the claim I have mentioned above even if trt did leave her a small amount to show he had not forgotten the estranged spouse. Indeed, it may even help her claim by showing that the testator saw himself under a "moral obligation" to her.
Well barmaid this is what happened to my fil, his father ignored the wife (still married) and she sued and got the lot, cos the judge said that the father had obviously forgotten to mention her!
Neti, I bow to your greater experience.

and the reason he didn't include his wife in the will was because she was wealthy enough in her own right, but no two judgements are ever the same. I was just trying to point out how difficult it can be.
