perhaps if they had put someone's welfare in danger, not shame so much as speak to their immediate superior. I have come across many social workers, some good, some bad.

if there was proof that they had lied
That would depend on what they had done....same as anyone else
Name and shame to who, you also have to think if you do and your information is not correct, then that can lead to all sorts of problems, repercussions.

And name and shame them....where?
depends what they had lied about and what evidence there was to mess with someones life if it was just vindictive witch hunting, probably not, who would you name them to anyway?
How do we know that lying is involved?

agreed dotty, vindictive witch hunting is not acceptable. Thanks for answers so far. was asked this question earlier and gave a similar reply(not on here) dotty.

Lied? .. about the weather? .. or the price of something.
You'll have to elaborate.

thanks for all answers.
Well there wasn't really a question .. was there?
Question Author
yes there was a question, and i noted the replies. there was enough in the answers already received for me to consider, which is why i thanked all for the answers received. advising anyone on something like this is daunting and it was good to read a few replies from others purely off the top of their heads, if even to only confirm what i was myself thinking. As i replied to dotty's comment, i was asked this myself, and have now given a more considered answer thanks to replies here.
