I don't want to do this. How can I get out of it?

on the paperwork they have sent you it will tell you the criteria you have to fulfil to get out of doing it. Just read it, decide if you fall into any of the categories and if you don't then you can't get out of it. I'm afraid simply not wanting to isn't a good enough reason

perhaps you could just book a holiday, instead of just saying it. If you postpone it, they'll just ask you again - may be better to ge tit over and done with The vast majority of people don't do very much anyway

I told them I have my own business and had no staff to cover (which I did) They didn't want any proof and I got out of it.

you can turn up, not get chosen, get paid and go home, whats the problem?

Join the BNP and show your membership card and ask if this effects anything ?
Then cancel the membership after they reject you for jury service.

Suppose you just have express extreme views.

I hope I never get called up.

Just wait till you get to court and tell the judge you think all these bloody crooks need hanging and you will see that it happens, they will discharge you immediately.

I done my jury service about 30 years ago.

I'd be reluctant to help convict anyone on simple theft charges, and keen to see violent people get their come-uppance.

i've been called up 3 times, sat on one jury and was picked for the last one, but knew the accused so didn't have to sit on that one.
so you could attend and if picked say you know the accused

my father has done it twice and i got called but didnt have to go because of my circumstances, my neighbour got out of it by the boss writing to them, dont know what he put though!

I told them I was deaf which I am of course - but I thought they would have looked in to it more ie looking for medical information from my doctor but they didn't. Never bothered me again.

My GP has very kindly supplied me with a letter which hopefully will see me excused Jury Service.
