MM & KM Link Games September 2011 Wk 2
24 Answers
Last week saw a slow start to the MM Links game as you all tried to tune in to the thoughts of 'Manx Queenie'. Will it be more of the same this week? or will she change tackand catch you all unawares?
The only way to find out is to log in tomorrow at 8:45am in Q&P when 'Manx Queenie' will post her introduction to the MM Links Game, followed at 9:00 with her challenge words. You have to guess what words she has chosen to pair with these to form a well-known word or phrase. To make it easier, they are all from 4 to 8 letters long. Anyone can play, so join in whenever you want to but early players stand more chance of bonus points.
Dont forget our sister game, the KM Links based on Kate Mepham's GK crosswords in the Saturday/Monday Telegraph. That game is run by Seekeerz from down under and kicks off at 7am. Don't worry about the early start there, the bonus points are not time-sensitive in that game.

Last weekend, after I revealed to what lengths I was going to get this posted, Strix let his imagination run away with itself. In consequence, I am saying nothing about my activities this weekend.
The 'Shrubbery' is now open for you to chill out or to plan schemes for attack. You gan even camp out by the gate in order to get in quickly with your answers at 9 am.
Happy guessing everyone.

Oh no, there was Gen2 hanging precariously out of a skylight trying to get a "good signal" (these aliens find all sorts of excuses for communicating with their home planets) in order to inform us about the Manxie Queen and her clues.
Meanwhile Pauline was spending a week down the disco in Santa Ponderosa bopping to techno, garage and house whilst necking vodka shots and telling the natives how to cook tripe and chips.
But now Santa Paulina is home and she has to explain why, in her home town, so many of the shops have closed.
Did the shopkeepers flee in fear of her demands, did she tell them never to sell garlic?
Or, more likely, were they never allowed to be open in daylight if they wanted her custom?

Hi alba...thanks for asking...
8lb 60z and 6lb 30z now!
They are over 12 weeks old now, but still the size of newborn. I have had lots of cuddles now and I am helping my sister take them to the hospital on Monday as the smallest has to have a scan.
They gave her a 9am appointment! She does really well with them...but that is a bit much!!!
They are beautiful, have quite a few problems to overcome, but are loved so much.

With all your family and your support and love, I'm sure your sister and her OH are pleased it is there.
I might have mentioned before, but when our first one was born, at about 4 weeks old my OH said you go to bed and I'll do the midnight feed. I awoke to screaming at 2 AM. (I'd been in bed since 8pm), Yep, you got it, he fell asleep and the babby awoke starving:)

never gave him the chance with the 2nd. AS 16 months later, Boxing Day,5 AM, I'm off.
Him, ;Huh off where'
Me : I'm too polite to type it here
lol
However, when he went to work and left me with two different sized babies, eeeekk
At that time I wished I had had a sister who would have stayed with me. I'm sure your sister and her OH greatly appreciate you being around.
Anyhoo, how much did you enjoy your holiday? I could have squeezed into one of your cases :)
