Ive been given a printed out quotation from a car dealers with the trade in evaluation for my car and the price of the car I was looking at and the balance to pay. They have now said they have made a mistake by a massive €1750 on the trade in price!Have they any legal obligation to honour the first quoation once its been handed out?

no, its a quote, not a contract
im sure youll find that there will be something in the small print that says they can change offer.

was their offer dramatically over priced for the car, you should have an idea

I think what he did was put the evalution for my car in as their recommened retail price not what they were going to give me so massive difference on the balance to pay, fair enough joko thats fine Im just a little peeded off right now.
can you sell it privately if its worth that much?

going to try redcrx even if I got €1000 less than what I have seen them on other sites I would be better off,I knew the trade value wouldnt be great but wasnt ready for that. Will take some pics and put out a few ads you never know.
