How can I trace a workman who hasn't finished job he started.

There is work outstanding on some fence work done by a workman who promised to come back when weather was ok, he was paid for the job in advance which we now know was a silly move as after several weeks he has not returned.I have his mobile number but of course he never answers it or replies to any messages I leave.Is there anything I can do ?

where did you find him from?

have you tried calling from another number?

get a friend to ring him for a quote on some work, make sure you are there when he turns up, get his car/van reg and then you could get his address and take him to court.

Have you tried googling his number to see if you can get an address?

Webbo has the best idea, but do not show him you are there. Hide at your friend's house and take pictures as well as the car number.

Thanks everyone some good ideas there will go along with getting a friend to ring & ask for a quote as suggested I think. Hubby thinks I should let it rest & he paid him!!!, but I am very annoyed & will do my utmost to find him.
