Well they could, but if he is making efforts to get clean it's unlikely. Social services would get involved if your daughter lived with her father but she doesn't so that's what they won't here. Being caught stealing is not a reason to stop her dad from having contact unless he was taking her with him at the time. That is when supervised access becomes be a good idea
They will only consider what is best for the child and IMO what is best is that the child see's both parents. If he is bucking up his ideas and going through drug treatment for his daughter I say good luck to him
What exactly do you mean when you say "his access before was supervised and he still done what he done"

she has never lived with him or stayed overnight, he came to his supervised access high on drugs thats why he aint seen her and he was chargd for drug offences and i would hardly say he is sorting himself out as this is the 3rd drug programme he has been on this year hardly a role model, i am thinking whats best for my daughter and to be honest at her age she should not have to see someone who goes back on drugs when he feels like it
you havent said how old she is
It's no good taking your frustration out on the answers you've had here. You ask we reply
We only have a few minor facts from your side, the fathers could be quite different
One programme or 3, at some point he could well get himself off drugs. Just doing the programme would be enough for a judge to give him a chance
Oh, and please read your answers thoroughly - no one in any of the replies said your daughter lived with her dad
