Right- several things- firstly if the warrant isn't in your name, VISIT- don't ring the Bailiffs, with photographic proof of who you are and a receipt saying that the bike belongs to you. If they still refuse to give you your bike back- return to the police and speak intially to the front desk, explain what you've already been told by them, tell them you have spoken on the phone to a solicitor who says it's a p[olice matter because soemone has taken your goods knowing there is no lawful reason for them to do so. If you get no joy with the person on the desk, ask to speak to someone who is their direct superior and make it clear that you are reporting a theft, as the people are now aware it's not your debt and have no reason to be holding your goods. doesn't matter a toss whether you know whose got your stuff or not, it's still theft. If you are still getting no joy- open a complaint with the police and write to the Bailiffs via recorded deliverygiving them 7 days to return your goods otherwise you will be taking legal action against them. If nothing happens then, go to the county court and issue for the amount of £550 againjst the Bailiffs and it will eventually be heard in court- IF and only IF it's not your debt, and the warrant is not in your name- and write in Egnlish text speak is horrible:(
