CRB Check following allegation of fraud
19 Answers
I'm appealing for a new job and need to have a CRB check performed. My previous employer accused me of Fraud By Abuse of Position. I was arrested, and had my flat searched, then I was on bail for a couple of months whilst it worked it's way through the system. After a several gruelling months, it was thrown out by the CPS, and it went no further. As it fell part and went no further is it likely to appear on my CRB?

The CRB check will either confirm that you don’t have a criminal record, or it will list any relevant convictions, cautions, reprimands, warnings and, if applicable, whether you have been barred from working with vulnerable groups. The police can also include non-conviction information, for example, fixed penalties, that may be relevant.

" Following a test case in the courts, the law has now changed and all cautions now remain on file for life. That means that they will always show up on any CRB check"
One would take from that that your arrest is likely to show as well
Waht job are you applying for? If you need an enhanced CRB c heck it is much more likely to show than on a basic

ansteyg, FPNs are NOT convictions , that is the entire idea of them. To give someone who has committed a minor offence a warning and allow them to carry on life without a conviction .
protooleriate, the CRB check you need will be a standard one not an enhanced check. Enchanced CRB checks are for people who are working with children and vulnerable people. Working to rewire a hospital DOES NOT count as needing an enhanced CRB check. It would count if you were actually having contact with the patients on a personal level.
An arrest will not appear on a standard CRB check , but it could (not certain just could) appear on an enhanced check.
