problems with AOL direct debit
4 Answers
just wondering if anyone else has had problems with Aol NOT taking the direct debit payments, it had been 15 months now and i keep phoning the helpline but only get the foreign call centres who are useless, they promise it will be sorted and i will not have to phone again but it doesn't get sorted.
My direct debit is active with them, there are no problems with my bank.
They have only taken 3 direct debits in 15 months and they were not taken one after another they were all over the place.
I was so fed up not getting anywhere with them, i cancelled the direct debit as it hadn't gone out and restarted it as if it was a new direct debit 2 days later, got a confirmation email from them saying it was set up and would go out on 22nd jan, 3 months later not a single one has gone out.
is this problem happening to anyone else on the answerbank
many thanks

Maybe if you contacted them (or the TalkTalk number) and said you want to move elsewhere, it might just concentrate somebody's mind!

i phoned talk talk a while back as i new they had taken aol over, they told me to phone aol, said to them i might leave and they said probably best to.
i am thinking of moving to plusnet, i have had no problems with aol regarding my service, they just wont take my money, (i can't give it away)
