Can you inform someone's employer if they have been given a caution?
Basically to cut a long story short my boyfriends sister and I recently had a heated argument which ended with her being unnecessarily violet towards me. She got arrested and was given a caution for assault. I thought she might learn her lesson but I heard through the grapevine that she has been laughing it off and mocking the police officers that dealt with her.
She had a job in a pub that she doesn't claim tax for, my question is would I be doing anything illegal or would I get into trouble if I were to call the pub and inform them of her arrest & caution? It may sound petty but she is threatening to make my life a living hell and I don't want to sit by and let her do it.
Thanks!

A much better idea would be to use the online reporting system to tell HMRC that she's not paying tax:

I suggest you just avoid the purple lady and keep ideas of revenge to yourself, simply ignoring her. Unless it's a matter of life or death revenge is best left alone because before you know it it will have escalated to a small war and people all over the place will be getting damaged and hurt. Just enjoy your life, that's a better revenge than anything.

How is reporting her for tax evasion, if this is what it is, going to stop her making you life "a living hell". Do whatever you feel you want to regarding tax and you have been given the number. Surely your boyfriend is a part of this or is he just enjoying the show? No sure what it is that is annoying you though as to hear that she has been laughing and mocking the police is bravado and has nothing to do with you really.

As buenchico states, that if the information is true you will not be committing an offence by informing her employers that she has a caution, she may not find it so amusing if she discovers that this gives her a criminal record. You may wish to telephone HMRC but think long and hard before taking any action.
