Not really sure if this is the right category for this question - but does anyone know how you can find out who owns a certain piece of land? We have lived in our house for ten years and there's a contained field at the back of our property - we've never had any issue or noticed anyone in there except occasionally a farmer - but in the last two weeks there has been a motorbike riding around and around it at high speed, it goes on until late in the evening and it's very loud and annoying - I am going to guess that the owner knows they're there but would like to check and just let them know how disturbing it is as they might not realise. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA

A good place to start is the land registry.
Try the Land Registry
Hello Boxy
Report it to the council's noise abatement officer, or the police who should be happy to send round a PCSO when it is happening.

Thankyou all - will try and find out through land registry first and go to the owners directly then if it continues after that I'll go down the official complaints route. Thanks again :)
If when you go to land registry you find it is unregistered (unlikely but possible) find out where the bikers are getting in and block it off! They will think the owners have done it and will be unlikely to return.
^^ I wouldnt do that, not only is that probably illegal it could also prove to be potentially dangerous. Speak with or visit your local LR and im sure they can provide you with the ownership details that you require.

Thankyou :) Luckily the weather seems to have put them off for the time being - but I now know who owns the field so if the noise starts again then I will get in touch with them
