An elderly gentleman near here was burgled when he fell asleep in his armchair and someone crept in, stole his keys from near the door, then made off with his car. He phoned the police who advised him to change his locks. He did that straight away. The police came the next day and dusted everywhere for fingerprints then said the prints on the new locks matched with someone who was wanted for burglary offences. A burglar working for a locksmith. Nice one.

That's awful. You would think that checks would have been done when he applied for the job.

I know someone who has just come out of prison for tax evasion and he's being retrained as a locksmith, beggars belief.
