They are making such a thing of RESPECT all around the football grounds just now. John Terry was shown to be mouthing off (and if you can lip read you can see what he is saying to the other player) during the game shown on TV. Not a good image for the game, I would hope they make an example of him but I doubt it, £2,500 will be peanuts to him.

one would hope parents teach their children that it's wrong to name call.
But it does go on, whether one likes it or not. They can and do take their lead from those they see on tv, in sport, even on line. We need better role models than these cretinous footballers.

ferdinand didnt even know he had said it, it was his girlfriend who told him when she seen the match on you tube or the like so he obviously wasnt that bothered. how many times have footballers called each other names, be them black or white, pathetic and a complete waste of time and money
